For GoHighLevel agencies
They bill every message, plus carrier and A2P fees. BookedBack sends your GHL texts through an Android phone's SIM.
Missed call, 2:14 PM
Sorry we missed your call. This is Northside Plumbing. What can we help with?
Water heater is leaking. Can someone come out today?
LC Phone and Twilio charge per message segment, with carrier fees on top. Add monthly number fees and A2P 10DLC brand and campaign registration fees, and every client you sign makes the bill bigger.
That money comes straight out of your margin, every month, whether you look at the invoice or not. BookedBack sends conversational texts over a flat phone plan instead.
Same conversations in GoHighLevel. Very different bill at the end of the month.
| Feature | LC Phone / Twilio | BookedBack |
|---|---|---|
| Per-message fees | Charged per message segment, plus carrier fees | None beyond your phone plan |
| Phone number fees | A monthly fee for every number | The SIM plan you already pay for |
| A2P 10DLC registration | Brand and campaign registration fees, plus an approval wait | Not needed for person-to-person texting from a real SIM* |
| Cost as you grow | Rises with every message and every client | Flat: one phone plan per client, one server |
| Missed-call text-back | Possible with a workflow, and every text is billed | Built in, workflow included |
| Calls inside GHL | Yes | No, SMS only. Forward calls to any number |
| Picture messages (MMS) | Yes | No, plain text only |
* Compliance and consent rules still apply: TCPA, opt-in and opt-out handling, and your carrier's acceptable use policy. Carriers can filter or flag high-volume or automated traffic, so BookedBack is for conversations, not bulk campaigns. Provider pricing varies and changes; check your own invoice.
Most callers who reach voicemail hang up without leaving a message, then try the next business on the list. BookedBack texts them back from the same number, automatically, so the conversation starts before they dial someone else.
The phone reports it, and BookedBack tags the caller's contact in GHL.
The tag fires the included workflow, which replies from the same number in your client's voice.
Replies land in Conversations and can trigger the rest of your follow-up.
Offer clients "SMS + missed-call text-back" for a flat monthly fee, priced below what per-message billing would cost them. Their bill drops, you keep the margin, and per-message fees stop being a reason for clients to leave.
Any small Ubuntu server works, around $5-10 a month. Point a domain at it.
Run one install command on your server (copy-paste from the guide). It sets up the API, dashboard, database and HTTPS, then prints your admin login.
Run the included GitHub Action. It builds a signed Android app under your own brand name.
Create your marketplace app, approve it for a sub-account, then pair the phone from the dashboard. Texts flow both ways.
After purchase you get access to the private GitHub repo. Fork it, then pull in updates with one click whenever they ship.

Plus tags, pipeline stages and a GHL Workflow AI prompt for each workflow.
Every step, in order, from blank server to first text.
Write down your domains, keys and IDs once, as you go.
Commands, settings and fixes on one page each.
Every future update to the repo, one click to pull into your fork.
Offer templates, onboarding checklist, client FAQ, sales script and white-label notes, so you can sell this to clients as your own service.
Everything for adding the next client: which Android phones and SIM plans to buy, where to get them, dual-SIM limits, a phone-farm setup and a per-client cost worksheet.
sms, sms-api and sms-connect by default.
Scaling
One server runs every client. Each client's GoHighLevel sub-account gets its own Android phone and SIM, so adding a client is: install your app in their sub-account, set up a phone, pair it, link it.
Android only, no iPhone. A recent model that still gets security updates, ideally 4 GB of RAM or more and a healthy battery. Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones keep the app running well once battery optimization is off. Refurbished is fine: a Pixel 6a or 7a, or a Galaxy A-series.
Refurbished from Back Market, Swappa or Amazon Renewed, or new from your carrier's store or Best Buy. Buy unlocked, test one, then buy the rest of the same model. Check current prices.
Unlimited talk and text, one SIM per phone. Many consumer, prepaid and MVNO plans forbid automated or commercial bulk texting, so read the plan's acceptable use policy first. A business line in the client's name is the safest home for their number.
The kit includes a full guide to adding phones and SIMs: step-by-step add-a-client setup, dual-SIM limits, porting a client's number, a phone-farm setup for 5+ phones, a per-client cost worksheet and an FAQ.
Same limits as one phone: text only (no MMS), Android only, and every new number warms up from 25 texts a day. One phone serves one sub-account, and one sub-account uses one phone.

Honest limits
Consumer SIM plans are for opted-in, one-to-one texting. Keep bulk campaigns on a registered provider like LC Phone or Twilio.
High volume can get a line flagged, so warm up every new number: 25 texts a day on days 1-3, rising gradually to 250 a day by about day 14-20. The dashboard's daily cap and quiet hours enforce it.
Plain text messages only: no MMS or picture messages. Calls can't be answered inside GoHighLevel, but you can forward the phone's calls to another number.
You'll SSH into a server and paste commands from the guide. No coding, but you should be fine in a terminal. Or add the Done-For-You install at checkout.
Keep it charged, online and running the app. If it goes offline, texts stop sending until it reconnects.
You are responsible for TCPA compliance, opt-in and opt-out handling. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
One payment gets you the kit, the repo and every future update. After that, your clients' conversations stop showing up on a per-message bill. Your only ongoing costs are your own: the VPS, the phone plans and the domain.

LC Phone and Twilio charge for each message segment, add carrier fees, charge a monthly fee per number and pass on A2P 10DLC registration fees. BookedBack sends texts from a phone on a regular plan with unlimited texting, so the cost is the plan and a small server, no matter how many conversations you have. Your exact savings depend on your volume and rates; run your numbers in the calculator above.
For everyday conversations in a sub-account, yes: those texts go out through the phone instead. For bulk campaigns or high-volume marketing, keep a registered provider. Consumer SIM plans are not built for that.
A2P 10DLC is the registration system for business texting sent through providers like LC Phone and Twilio. BookedBack texts go out from a regular number on a SIM, so there is no 10DLC brand or campaign to register. Consent rules still apply: TCPA, opt-in and opt-out, and your carrier's acceptable use policy. Carriers can still filter high-volume or automated traffic.
Yes. That is what the resale kit is for: offer templates, an onboarding checklist, a client FAQ, a sales script and white-label notes. Because the code is AGPL-3.0, if you modify it and let clients use it over a network, you must offer them the modified source code.
Add it at checkout for $750. We set up your server and DNS, Firebase, your branded Android app, the GoHighLevel app and SMS provider, pair one phone, import the workflow pack and run a go-live test with you. You provide access: VPS login, DNS, a GHL agency login and the Android phone with its SIM.
No. The phone needs to be Android, because Android lets an app send and receive SMS on your behalf. Use a recent model that still gets security updates; a refurbished Pixel or Galaxy A-series works well.
Use one server for all of them. For each client: install your GoHighLevel app in their sub-account, set up an Android phone with its own SIM, pair it by scanning a QR code, and link it to the sub-account in your dashboard. No new server, Firebase project or app build. The kit's phones and SIMs guide walks through it.
No. Each sub-account links to exactly one phone, and each phone to one sub-account. In a dual-SIM phone the app sends from one chosen SIM and passes on texts arriving at either SIM, so a second client's replies would land in the first client's conversations. Use one phone and one active SIM per client.
You'll connect to a server over SSH, paste commands from the guide and fill in a few settings in GoHighLevel and Firebase. If you have set up a GHL snapshot or a WordPress site on a VPS before, you'll be fine. If not, add the Done-For-You install at checkout.
BookedBack is SMS only. Calls can't be answered inside GoHighLevel. Pick one setup per number: leave calls on the BookedBack phone and every missed call gets an automatic text-back, or forward all calls to a line your client answers (missed-call detection on the phone stops while forwarding is on).
The software is open source under AGPL-3.0. It is based on SelfhostSim and includes components from TextBee (MIT). You are paying for the packaged kit: the installer, the app builder, the guide, the workflows and the resale materials.
After purchase you get access to the private GitHub repo. Fork it to your own GitHub account, and when a new version ships, pull it into your fork with one click. Updates are lifetime: every future update to the repo is included.
The guide walks through each step with screenshots. The kit also includes an AI setup-assistant prompt, plus a "stuck? paste this" prompt for every step that you drop into ChatGPT or Claude along with your error. Beyond that, there is email support, best effort, at jonathan@theleadventure.com.
14-day refund: if you can't get BookedBack working within 14 days of purchase, email us for a full refund.
And another month of missed calls going to someone else.
